John and Debbie Hockin welcome you to their Muskoka Beach House – a stunning Bala Cottage Rental. They designed the home for easy living and to encourage relaxation. In the summer, they move to their cottage across the bay on Juniper Island, giving others the opportunity to experience their much-loved home on the shore.
The Beach House is minutes from Bala, a town that has all of the essentials: a grocery store, LCBO, beer store and many interesting boutique shops. Every Monday during the summer there is a farmers’ market.
Port Carling is 15 minutes away – with more shopping and a pharmacy. The closest hospital is in Bracebridge – 40 minutes from the Beach House.

Boy did we luck out! Spent the last week of August at this beautiful home on the water in Bala. My husband and I booked it from a picture. It was well beyond our expectations. The layout was so thought out. The view of the waterfront from the house was so beautiful. We highly recommend this house for any family looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

We loved the Beach House! The house is beautiful and new, everything works, and all you could want is there — hair dryers, soap, beach towels. You thought of everything. The site is great. Sandy beach, quiet bay, lovely landscaping, ducks. And fishing right off the dock. It was close to Bala, for quick trips to the bakery, LCBO and Freshmart. The “check-in/out” process was very easy, and you made us feel very welcome.

The Beach House

With just under 2000 square feet over 2 floors, the Beach House sleeps 6. The main level has a great room with living/dining area and kitchen; a laundry room/pantry; master bedroom with queen-sized bed and office; and a large bathroom with tub/shower that connects to the master and the great room.
The lower level walkout has 8 foot ceilings with a family room/office; one double bedroom; another with twin beds; and a bright bathroom with shower. A doorway from the family room provides access to the terrace overlooking the beach.
The Beach House is full of windows offering amazing views of the beautiful Moon River.

Our Bala Cottage Rental is located in Bala on a 3 mile stretch of the Moon River that has 2 sets of waterfalls at one end and the famous Moon Chutes at the other end.
